Wine tasting and gastromonic delights in the streets of Radda in Chianti with
art exhibition and live music.
Over the past 12 years the wine festival “Radda nel bicchiere” has
blossomed into an event that celebrates the village’s longstanding tradition
of winemaking and producing fine foods. It provides visitors the unique occasion
to discover the original products of this marvellous Chianti gem.
The focus here is on the excellence of the local wine production, one of the
area’s most valuable industries.
A personalized glass, time and curiosity: that’s all it takes to enjoy
the wine tasting provided by twenty local producers. The winemakers present their
top labels and challenge each other in a blind tasting, which represents the
wine festival’s highlight. Together with wine professionals the visitors
will have their say in crowning Radda’s best wine for 2008.
“Radda nel Vigneto” – “Radda In The Vineyard” For
the first time the festival will include a wine tasting of single vineyard Sangiovese
wines from the Radda area. Organized by Carlo Macchi, editor of the renowned
online magazine Winesurf.it, this wine tasting will provide insight into the
characteristics and subtle diversities of this famous Tuscan grape.
